Applying to FHJ 

Thank you for your interest in F. H. Jenkins Preparatory School. Begin your scholar's journey to greatness TODAY. We look forward to meeting your family and sharing more about the opportunities ahead for your child. Individualized attention is a hallmark of the FHJ experience, and our admissions process is no exception. During this exciting time, we anticipate partnering with you to ensure your student is set up for success.

Come Visit FHJ Prep 

We encourage families to come and "Feel the Flame." This provides you an opportunity to see our community in action. Watch as our teachers masterfully teach, scholars eagerly learn, and receive additional information about our program from a school administrator.

Step 2 

Apply Online 

A complete application includes the following: Applicant Information Family Information School Information Additional Resource Forms Signature Application Fee ($50) *Submission of your application form and fee is one step in the applicant file and initiates your applicant record. This record will allow our Admissions team to most effectively assist you throughout the application process. 

Step 3 

Schedule Visit & Family Interview 

We encourage you to schedule your visit and interview days as early as possible. While school visits are not required, they are strongly encouraged. Family interviews, however, are a required part of the admissions process, so be sure to connect with our front office to get your interview date and time locked in. For families outside the Nashville area, accommodations can be arranged. Please contact office@fhjenkins.net. * Interview days cannot be scheduled until your completed application form has been submitted. 

Step 4 

Make It Official 

If accepted, you will receive an official letter welcoming you to the FHJ family. The final steps would be ensuring all supporting documentation is submitted, as well as paying the enrollment fee. Submit Supporting Documentation Teacher Recommendation Form (1st through 8th graders) Personal Recommendation Form (1st through 8th graders) Birth Certificate Immunization record or immunization exemption Copy of latest report cards & test scores (1st through 8th graders) IEP (if applicable) Behavior records (if applicable) Family Interview with member of the Admissions Committee Basic Skills Test may be required for any applicant
